Repair Process

Once the repair work has been authorised by your insurance company and awarded to BuildSure the repair process is as follows:

A member of the BuildSure administration team will be in touch to confirm your contact details so we can send out your Contract Repair Pack which includes:

  • A QMBA Minor Works Contract Residential which you need to complete, sign and return to us in the prepaid envelope supplied

  • An invoice for the Insurance Excess (if applicable) which you need to pay before any repair work can begin

  • An Information Package that includes:

    • A letter of introduction from BuildSure with the name and contact details of your dedicated Project Manager A copy of the approved scope of works A Customer Satisfaction Certificate which needs to be signed off and returned to your Project Manager when the job is complete.

Once you have signed and returned the completed QMBA Minor Works Contract Residential and paid any applicable insurance excess, a member of the BuildSure team will contact you to organise a start date for the repair work. Our builders will need access during office hours to be able to complete the job.

  1. Once a start date has been agreed, a team of qualified and licensed BuildSure builders will begin the repairs. We only use experienced, professional and reliable tradespeople. Your designated BuildSure Project Manager will manage the end-to-end repairs process and will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

  2. When the repairs have been completed your BuildSure Project Manager will ask you to inspect the works and then sign the Customer Satisfaction Certificate (COS) included in your original contract repair pack. We will then send this on to your insurance company to complete your claim.
