Due to our continued growth, an exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Building Inspector / Assessment Report Writer / Estimator. The position will be based in our Brisbane Head Office but working across the greater Brisbane and Gold Coast region. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for all aspects of day to day Repair Inspections and Assessments, including managing strict KPI's for each client. You will also be required to develop, facilitate and maintain strong relationships with all current and future stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a strong team of professionals, within an energetic highly recognised organisation.

To be successful in this role you will:  Reside in the Brisbane Metro Area;  Have a Trade Certificate in Carpentry or other Trade equivalent;  Holding a QBCC Low rise Supervisors licence is well regarded;  Possess Working at Heights Certification;  At least 5 years documented experience in a similar role within the repair sector;  Excellent NCC and AS standards knowledge essential;  Excellent general building knowledge, and vocabulary;  Strong written and verbal communication skills;  Excellent computer skills;  Ability to demonstrate and communicate strong technical knowledge across all trades and services;  Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities and work under pressure;  Ability to research manufacturer's installation methodology on commonly used building products;  Ability to liaise well with clients and solve problems tactfully and compassionately;  A clean driver licence and police record.

Another Buildsure repair to a building less than 10 yrs. old.

The 2nd floor balcony was leaking.

Buildsure was contracted to replace the balcony flooring and subsequent the water proofing.

Once work stared we found that the balcony floor tiles had been laid over another layer of floor tiles that has been installed on internal grade particle board flooring.

Once the flooring was removed we found further water damage to other structure caused by long term water ingress.

This structure was repaired, new flooring installed, new water proofing (using Bayset products), including door sill flashings that comply with AS4654.2

Sliding doors reinstalled, new floor tiles, repainted all adjacent surfaces.

Handed back to another satisfied client.

Concrete cancer – also known as concrete spalling – begins when steel reinforcement within a concrete slab begins rusting.

When steel rusts it expands by five times causing concrete to rot and flake.

Professor Holden (Griffith University Head of Architecture) said high-rise towers built in the 1970's had an average lifespan of around 40 years.
